#83 Create Your Social Impact Story
Did you know I started an education program for 11 to 14-year-olds?
Eight years ago, my best friend and I started Solutions for the Planet, an education program focused on the sustainability crisis and empowering children to create change.
At the start of running Solutions for the Planet, we soon realized that in order to attract, nurture and secure our dream partners and clients, we needed to change the way we communicated. Instead of focusing on what we wanted and needed as an organisation, we shifted to focus on our audience’s wants and needs.
The thing is, your story is so much more than a chance to share your purpose or your background. It’s about connecting your journey and your purpose to your audience. Your target audience wants to go on a journey with you. The challenge is connecting your impact to their hopes, wants, and needs.
Since becoming a coach for Social Entrepreneurs, I’ve started to realize many small business owners with a social and environmental mission are focusing on the wrong thing. They’re spending all this time sharing what they do when they need to be communicating why they do it.
So how can you map the difference you can create for your clients? How can you communicate your social impact story in a more powerful way?
In this episode, I walk through how to create your story. Listen to learn the four steps to building your social impact story and how to spread your message with confidence.
