#68 Self-care as a social mission? with Ashley Rachel

Ashley Rachel is a mindset coach helping heart-centred women build their coaching business to full-time. So you may well be wondering why I have brought her on to this podcast for social entrepreneurs. That's because I love the way Ashley approaches and talks about self-care and supports women entrepreneurs to honour themselves first and reconnect with their intuition as a powerful way to make decisions and lead.

Ashley began her journey writing a blog. It quickly turned into a self care blog where she was sharing the lessons she was learning on her own self love journey through studying mental health counseling. She discovered life coaching, chose to walk away from her dream of being a therapist, and has since become a full time mindset coach. She supports female entrepreneurs in the mindset work to love themselves, trust themselves, and overcome self doubt and limiting beliefs as they grow their businesses.

In this episode we discuss:

  • The importance of self-care and what Ashley means by "honouring yourself"

  • The difference between macro- and micro self-care

  • The simple question you can ask yourself to build micro- self-care in to your day

  • How this isn't about having rigid routines and consistent habits but finding ways throughout the day to check-in with yourself

  • How self-care is a social mission

  • Different ways Ashley supports clients to honour themselves and listen to their intuition
