Say what?!?

I find there's a lot of confusion about what a social enterprise is, and isn't, and what you "have" to do as one.

So in this episode I tackling the myths and mis-understandings of what it means to be a social enterprise.

In this episode I explore:

  • The definition is actually quite broad and allows for all types of businesses to be a social enterprise

  • What being a social enterprise actually requires

  • I explain why you don't have to give away your profits (as it isn't the only thing that defines a social enterprise)

  • I explore different options for paying yourself as the CEO, founder or an employee, so your income isn't dependant on profits

  • Why being a community interest company (CIC) isn't the only way to be recognised as a social enterprise
