#77 Pricing with confidence
*This is a mini-training I did in my Facebook Group - The Impact Entrepreneurs Club.
When I ask my clients, “What motivates you?”, they say it's knowing that they're making a difference. It's knowing that the work they're doing is creating that change, but they're actually delivering on the thing they set up their social enterprises or businesses to do.
Pricing confidence is really about stepping into that place of knowing “When I make sales at this price point, what am I going to do with that extra income?” Recognizing that the pricing doesn't need to be a motive. The pricing isn't really what's important here. What's important is that you generate the income you want so you can actually create the change you want to see.
If you don't feel right about your pricing, it's really hard to sell. When you don't feel confident about your pricing, either because you feel it's too low or it's too high, you can't really get behind it and bring the energy that you need to the sales
Maybe you don't know if your pricing is right, you've had it in place for a while and you just don't know, you're not sure, you don't know how to check. Maybe you're just at the start of your journey and you really honestly just don't know even where to start with pricing, which is fine, it's a good place to be and you shouldn't worry about it.
Pricing shouldn't be the stuff you get stuck on in your business. It should be the stuff that you're able to work out and decide on and move forward with, at whatever stage of business not just at the start. An important thing to remember is to review your pricing fairly regularly. Check if it's still working for you and your business and if it still reflects the value you're giving to clients and customers.
