How to build a successful social enterprise - the 4 key elements

Most social entrepreneurs come to me because they’re struggling to generate enough income to sustain their social enterprise and want to find out how they can increase their sales and customers.

We all know the importance having consistent, regular income to making our vision a reality but do you know all the elements needed to building a successful and sustainable social enterprise?

Here’s the 4 key elements needed:

🌏 Having a clear PURPOSE and providing a product or service that actually meets a specific need, desire, or solves a specific problem

💷 Choosing a BUSINESS MODEL that helps you generate an income whilst creating social impact (because more income means more impact)!

📊 Measuring your impact so you can demonstrate the difference you make and build TRUST and TRANSPARENCY with customers and stakeholders

🙋‍♀️ Communicating your social impact to build CONNECTION with your target customers and scale your INFLUENCE

Customers and income are essential to any business but...

  • ...without a clear purpose you’ll lose track of your bigger vision and values, manifesting as a lack of clarity or muddled thoughts

  • ...without a business model that works for you, you’ll struggle to make a profit and sustain your business often feeling like your chasing your tail just to get by

  • ...without a true understanding of the impact you’re creating you won’t know if you’re working towards or achieving your vision, and you won’t be able to demonstrate this with your customers and stakeholders - so you won’t build trust in your brand

  • ...without a clear strategy to communicate with your customers you won’t be able to connect with, nurture or sell to them
